Meet Natalie Anderson
Candidate for Issaquah School District
Board Director District No. 2
I grew up in Woodinville and always knew I wanted to raise a family in western Washington. Even though I have traveled around the world, home has always been the Pacific Northwest. Before our daughter was born, my husband and I chose the Issaquah School District as our forever home because of its strong reputation for academic excellence, dedicated teachers, and supportive community.
My educational journey is different from many candidates. Instead of attending a four-year university, I entered the workforce immediately after high school, gaining valuable experience in administration, office management, and customer service. These skills led me to my current role at an aerospace company, where I have worked for 21 years—most recently in Aerospace Quality. Over the last four years, I have led projects that improved customer satisfaction, streamlined processes, and enhanced quality control, resulting in measurable successes. My data-driven approach, combined with persistence, dedication, and a willingness to take on new challenges, has shaped who I am today and will be a strong asset to the Board.
My husband, David, works for Microsoft, and our children, ages 10 and 6, both attend schools in the Issaquah School District. For the past five years, I have been a leader in our PTA, working on events such as Science Fair Week, WATCH D.O.G.S., Eagle Reader Clubhouse, Silent Auction, and serving as an Art Docent. I have also helped lead fundraising efforts to support school resources and programs. Through this work, I’ve seen firsthand the incredible strength of our district—the dedication of families, teachers, and staff who come together to ensure every child succeeds.
I believe my success in this role will come from listening to the community, building trust through open communication, and ensuring that every student has access to equal opportunities. I am deeply committed to equity and inclusion, to strengthening the partnership between the district and its families, and to preserving the values and traditions that have made Issaquah a leader in education. My practical experience, dedication to volunteerism, and strong community connections make me a candidate who not only understands the needs of our district but is ready to work tirelessly for its future.
My top priority as a member of the Issaquah School Board is to combine my experience and perspective with the voices of our community to ensure decisions always serve the best interests of all our children. I am committed to listening, advocating for, and working collaboratively to secure a bright and successful future for every student in the Issaquah School District.
